“Emma and I... I’d like to think we stimulate each other intellectually. And there was some intellectual sparring that we’ve had – I mean – we’re quite a good foil for each other ‘cause we’re both super opinionated and fairly articulate. And we both like to make our points very very clearly so we would have some great debates on set and Rupert would just be standing between us going, ‘Oh, shut up guys, please! Can we just – who cares?’ But me and Emma would get like very very into it but it was great and you know, she’s a smart cookie so I had my work cut out for me.” — DANIEL RADCLIFFE
“Dan and I, we really sparked on each other. he questioned me, he made me think. He’s so incredibly driven, ambitious, and passionate. you get something when you’re around someone like that all the time. He gives you that energy. I will miss that. A lot.” — EMMA WATSON
In his latest interview with NY Magazine, director Guillermo del Toro talked a little about the upcoming movie production Beauty and the Beast with Emma Watson set to star.
How’s the tone of the Beauty and the Beast project coming?
Well, I met with Emma Watson about it because I’m very interested in doing the movie with her. She’s just perfect for the film, and we talked about the classic iteration of the tale. I love the sort of darker, beautiful, hopelessly romantic but Gothic take on the tale. We discussed this.
Emma Watson has natural dark golden locks (dark blonde hair), but due to filming commitments to Potter; she had to dye her hair to brown (brunette hair) to satisfy the role of Hermione Granger, who’s a brown haired character.
Vogue magazine recently had actress Emma Watson as its cover girl, but in this behind the scenes interview, Emma chats with Vogue about her excitement about the experience and expounds about Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Director Guillermo del Toro is hopeful of directing the movie “Beauty and the Beast” soon, after speaking about the movie production with MTV’s Josh Horowitz, revealing that he’s started writing the script and hoping to film as soon as possible, saying that Emma Watson is perfect for the role, but will need to do it soon. The movie is in its early development and production will start as soon as del Toro’s written the script, which will retain a classical setting.
